DENVER, CO (May 13, 2021) – PorchLight Real Estate Group, a residential real estate brokerage serving the greater Denver metro and Boulder areas, was recognized as the winner of the Denver Business Journal's Small Business Awards 2021 for the Extra-Large category on Thursday. PorchLight also won a special award as the top Woman-Owned Business.
The Small Business Awards honors excellence among small businesses in five categories. According to the Denver Business Journal, "This year's finalists are showing resiliency against all odds, proving their commitment to community, clients, and their people."
Nominated companies were asked to complete a survey measuring awards and recognitions, community achievements and involvement, and contributions to their industry. They also provided gross revenue for the last full calendar year before nominations began.
Each company had to be for-profit, locally owned and headquartered in the Denver-metro area, with fewer than 100 employees. The nomination forms then were read and scored by a panel of judges. And the categories were determined by the number of employees and grouped to achieve the maximum amount of competition among like-sized companies.
