Initiative Raises Money for Two Local Nonprofits
On December 19th, there were smiles all around as PorchLight’s team presented donation checks to a pair of incredible organizations, Project I See You and Flatirons Habitat for Humanity.
Funds were gathered through a powerful, brokerage-wide initiative, PorchLight Gives. This program gives our agents the opportunity to donate a portion of their commissions to nonprofits collectively chosen by the team. Every participating agent was able to nominate an organization they’re passionate about, ensuring donations went to amazing causes supporting the communities where PorchLight agents serve.
“Our agents don’t just close deals—they open hearts,” said Jolene Weinstein, president of PorchLight Real Estate Group. “Through PorchLight Gives, they have turned commissions into compassion, and we couldn’t be prouder. We are so grateful to every agent who contributed. You are spreading light and love in our community!”
In total, PorchLight agents raised $6,200 this year—here’s a look at the selected organizations.
This Denver-based nonprofit is dedicated to creating a world where women are taking ownership of their lives. Where all women are seen, heard, and valued through sharing power, giving back, and believing in themselves and each other.
The group’s Shared Power initiative supports women who are first-time homeowners and small business owners receive access to life-changing grants and a network of support. And the Te Veo House initiative helps women in crisis receive short-term, transitional housing to get back on their feet.
Flatirons Habitat for Humanity
Serving Boulder and Broomfield, this organization believes that a world in which every person has a decent place to live is also a more educated and equitable world. By creating opportunities for affordable homeownership, they strengthen families and communities.
With the support of volunteers, partners, and donors, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build better lives. Since 1994, they have served nearly 100 families by building, repairing, and rehabilitating homes.
