She believed in a company based upon a culture emphasizing long-term, authentic relationships—a real estate company that looks at real estate in a different way—one totally committed to the client and that gives back to the communities they serve.

In 2005, Amy and her partner Carol Freyer Bayer founded PorchLight Real Estate Group to raise the bar in the real estate industry. By instituting the highest level of agent education and training standards, the pair created a sophisticated infrastructure unlike any in the real estate industry. What began as a two-woman team is now an elite real estate group of nearly 200 full-time agents. Over the years, PorchLight has risen to the top in Denver market share and is one of the most tech-savvy brokerages in Colorado.

A passionate and engaged speaker and educator, Amy leads company and team meetings, and mentors Realtors as part of PorchLight University, the company’s unique and robust continuing education program. In 2016, she was the only Colorado representative to present to the Inman Top 101 among the leading Realtors in the nation. Her topics: company culture and motivation through accountability.

Amy and Carol have been profiled in the Denver Business Journal, and Amy was named a winner in the Denver Business Journal’s 2021 Outstanding Women in Business. In addition, the brokerage has consistently been named a Top Workplace by The Denver Post, a Top Women-Owned Company by the Denver Business Journal and ColoradoBiz Magazine, as well as the #1 Denver-Area LGBTQ-Owned Company for several years running.

A professed “self-improvement” junkie, Bayer leads with eternal optimism, support of her 200+ brokers and is 100 percent immersed in training, betterment and achieving excellence in all facets of her business. She lives in the city of Broomfield where PorchLight also has its centralized headquarters.
